Goldady API License Agreement
This Goldady API License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs access to and use of the goldady-api (“API”) provided by GD Egypt for Metal Trade (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
The API provides:

International spot gold price data
-
Egypt local gold prices calculated by Goldady
-
Related precious metals market data (collectively, the “Data”)
By accessing or using the API, the subscribing entity (“Client”) agrees to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Eligibility
The API is available exclusively to:

Legally registered companies
-
Financial institutions
-
Gold funds
-
ETFs
-
Fintech platforms
-
Regulated investment entities
By using the API, you represent that:

You are acting on behalf of a legal entity
-
You have authority to bind that entity
-
Your use complies with applicable financial regulations
2. License Grant
Subject to payment of fees and compliance with this Agreement, GD Egypt for Metal Trade grants Client a:

Limited
-
Non-exclusive
-
Non-transferable
-
Non-sublicensable
-
Revocable
license to access and use the API for internal business operations and integration into Client-owned platforms.
No ownership rights are transferred.
3. Data Sources & Calculation
3.1 International Spot Gold Prices
International pricing is derived from third-party market data sources, including licensed data providers.
Goldady does not claim ownership of underlying exchange data and provides it under authorized usage rights.
3.2 Egypt Local Gold and Silver Prices
Local Egyptian gold and silver prices are calculated by Goldady using:

International spot prices
-
USD/EGP exchange rates
-
Local market premiums
-
Applicable fees and adjustments
These calculated prices constitute proprietary methodology owned by GD Egypt for Metal Trade.
4. Permitted Use
Client may:

Integrate the API into Client-operated platforms
-
Display gold prices within Client applications
-
Use Data for internal analytics and pricing
-
Support financial products such as gold funds and ETFs
5. Restrictions
Client may NOT:
-
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Data as a standalone feed
-
Offer the Data as a competing API service
-
Provide raw Data access to third parties
-
Remove source attribution where required
-
Use the Data for unlawful or unlicensed financial activity
-
Misrepresent Data as official exchange pricing
-
Reverse engineer the API or bypass security measures
Separate commercial redistribution rights require a written agreement.
6. Regulatory Responsibility
Client is solely responsible for:

Compliance with financial regulations
-
Licensing requirements
-
Investor disclosures
-
Market conduct obligations
GD Egypt for Metal Trade is not an investment advisor, or financial institution.
7. No Financial Advice
The API and Data:
-
Do not constitute investment advice
-
Do not constitute a recommendation to buy or sell gold and silver
-
Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial decisions
All trading and investment risks remain with Client.
8. Service Availability
The API is provided:
“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”
Goldady does not guarantee:
-
Continuous availability
-
Real-time precision
-
Error-free operation
-
Uninterrupted data flow
Scheduled or emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law:
GD Egypt for Metal Trade shall not be liable for:

Trading losses
-
Fund valuation errors
-
NAV miscalculations
-
Loss of profits
-
Indirect or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by Client during the preceding 12 months.
10. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GD Egypt for Metal Trade from any claims arising out of:

Client’s financial products
-
Regulatory violations
-
Misuse of Data
-
Investor claims related to pricing
11. Fees & Payment
-
Access requires an active paid subscription.
-
Fees are billed in advance.
-
Failure to pay may result in immediate suspension.
-
Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Data Retention
Unless otherwise agreed:
-
Raw API responses may not be permanently stored.
-
Long-term historical storage requires written permission.
-
Upon termination, Client must cease use of Data.
13. Termination
GD Egypt for Metal Trade may suspend or terminate access if:
-
Client breaches this Agreement
-
Client violates redistribution restrictions
-
Client fails to pay fees
-
Regulatory risk arises
Termination does not relieve Client of outstanding payment obligations.
14. Confidentiality
API credentials, technical documentation, pricing terms, and system architecture are confidential and may not be disclosed.
15. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.
